As the title suggests, what is your best and your worst concert experiences?

For me, my best may be seeing Ani DiFranco at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara in October 2003. I still have the ticket stubs. It was largely just her and her guitar as she belted out her hits and her newest songs from her album, Evolve. It was so powerful. A particular highlight was hearing a raw version of the song, "Serpentine."

My worst experience had to be seeing Weezer in Fargo, North Dakota in 2002. The band wasn't into it. The crowd wasn't into it. The lead singer immediately got on his phone after the last song and said he had to go. No encore. Just bad vibes all around.

How about you?

The best, Richard Thompson at The Lowry, Salford, England 2013.

1,500 seater theatre, great view of the stage, and 'Thommo' was on top form, brilliant singer, songwriter and guitarist, with his 'power trio'.

The worst, Bruce Springsteen, Birmingham NEC Arena, England 1981.

10,000 seater. Purely because I was so far away from the stage it was hard to see him (this was before technology had provided giant video screens) and also the venue was too big to create an atmospere. The only thing that sticks in my head was how loud the drums and saxophone were. Oh, and Pete Townshend came on and played in the encore.
