Reply to this topic with your personal Top 10 albums. Use whatever theme you wish for your list.
For example, here is my personal Top 10 Albums of the 90s (no repetition of artists):
- Pear Jam - Vs.
- Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
- Nirvana - In Utero
- PJ Harvey - To Bring You My Love
- Tori Amos - Boys For Pele
- Ani DiFranco - Dilate
- Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles
- Alice in Chains - Dirt
- Counting Crows - August and Everything After
- R.E.M. - Automatic For the People
I would have put first rem , second nirvana and third alice in chains and then the others...
And what about Radiohead?
Anyway what if I would post a top list of the albums of an artist?
Thanks McMurphy
Cheers
Sorry people, I wouldn't even know where to start with a Top 10 albums - I can't even choose my favourite albums by my favourite artists! But I'm very happy to lurk here and look at other people's lists, if that's okay? I think mine would probably have 'Songs of Faith and Devotion' by Depeche Mode (or/and 'Violator'), 'Turn on the Bright Lights' by Interpol (or would I choose 'Antics'??), 'Mighty Joe Moon' by Grant Lee Buffalo (or 'Fuzzy'??), 'Alexisonfire' by Alexisonfire (or 'Watch Out!'?). and obviously another 5/6 that I'll be completely unable to narrow down without my brain turning to liquid.
@peepeepee yes you're right!
maybe I could be able to make a top list only if I don't consider it definitive ...
Anyway "songs of faith and devotion" and "violator" are great album...
But what about "Ultra" and "Exciter"??
💓
How about Top 10 live albums...Depeche Mode 101 MUST be on it!
@admin unfortunately I haven't still listened to 101 but I trust your choice and I will do it soon
For now this is it:
Hard rain bob dylan
Isle of wight jimi hendrix
Ummagumma pink floyd
Unplugged eric clapton
Time fades away Neil young
Roxy and elsewhere frank zappa
Nighthawks at the diner tom waits
Show time ry cooder
Unplugged in Nyc nirvana
Live at the plaza miles davis
And some other I 've surely forgotten...
Anyway I would consider it more as a playlist than a top list...
